Our Story

As a second-generation tea exporter from Sri Lanka, tea runs in my veins. Growing up surrounded by the lush tea plantations of our island and steeped in the rich traditions of my heritage, I dreamed of creating something that went beyond just a good cup of tea. I wanted to craft an experience that resonated deeply with our culture—something that carried the essence of Sri Lanka to the world in every sip.

For generations, we Sri Lankans have relied on the wisdom of nature for our health and wellness. When we felt a cold coming on, we turned to age-old remedies like Kothamalli—a soothing brew of boiled coriander seeds and ginger—or Paspanguwa, a powerful decoction of five medicinal roots. Our meals were often enriched with sambals made from Moringa or Gotu Kola, harvested from our home gardens. These holistic practices weren’t just remedies; they were woven into the fabric of our daily lives, offering not just nourishment but comfort and care.

It was this deep connection to our heritage and the belief in the power of nature that inspired me to share Sri Lanka’s holistic wellness traditions with the world. I envisioned a tea experience that wasn’t just about flavor but also about a story—a story of ancient remedies, cultural wisdom, and our prized Ceylon teas.

Driven by this passion, we began an incredible journey. We collaborated with indigenous Ayurvedic practitioners, learning from their profound knowledge of herbs and holistic healing. These experts, with wisdom passed down through generations, became our guiding lights. Together, we delved into the intricacies of Ayurveda and its synergy with tea, investing years of research and testing to craft something truly unique.

What emerged was a range of teas that are more than just beverages—they are wellness rituals. By combining the nutritional richness of Ceylon tea with the remedial science of Ayurveda, we unlocked an untapped opportunity to create blends that offer unparalleled health benefits while honoring the authenticity of our roots.
